Thread Room Controller at Amrod

Minimum Skills and Knowledge Required

• Standard 10 / Grader 12 or equivalent will be preferred.
• Cross training experience on thread room controller function will be preferred and will be advantageous.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar position and/or environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English,
• Must be prepared to work overtime / weekends / shifts in accordance with operational requirements.
• Working knowledge of maintenance and repairs of embroidery equipment advantageous.
• Computer Literate and basic Excel skills.

Brief Description of Key Performance Area

• Control and maintain stock levels.
• Ensure achievement of targets in line with quality standards in a highly pressurised environment.
• Schedule and control the release and return of threads and consumables.
• Ensure correct shelving of threads and consumables.
• Order stock timeously.
• Place job card in basket with plot sheet and thread.
• Conduct monthly consumable stock take.
• Assist in other positions and departments in accordance with operational requirements.
• Maintain good housekeeping standards.
• Adhere to safety regulations.
