Temp Internship (Engineering) at The Heineken Company

Purpose of the Positions

The Successful intern will be expected to enter into a 12 month fixed-term contract commencing on the 1st of March 2024 and terminating on the 28 February 2025.
The intention is to give practical work experience to students who are currently studying towards a formal Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification.

Key Learning Areas include (but are not limited to):

• Plant Maintenance 
• Plant Operation
• Utilities and Facilities
• General administrative assistance
• Sustainability improvements
• Profit improvement projects
• Machine efficiency improvement projects
• ISO 14001 implementation

To qualify for selection and participation in this programme, candidates must satisfy the following criteria: 

• Excellent academic record and in final year of obtaining tertiary qualification – Engineering degree or diploma in Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering
• No work experience in the field is required
• Computer literacy – Microsoft Suit (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Sound communication and presentation skills; 
• Effective time management;
• Ability to multi-task and perform under pressure. 
• Ability to work in a team
• South African citizen;

Prospective interns must submit the following:

• Covering letter/ Motivational letter, 
• A curriculum vitae,
• Certified Academic record, 
• Certified Grade 12,
• A letter from the tertiary institution,
• A format for evaluation, required by the tertiary institution, 
• Certified copies of Identity Document.
