    Technological Risk Manager

    Job Description

    Technical & Risk Management

    • Is appointed as the Technical Integrity Manager for TMSA, with special oversight of the Integrity managers in NBE
    • Providing functional HSE support to the Technical Divisions and business units as required.
    • Participate in process studies for plant modifications related to process discipline or multi-discipline. Provide operational and process engineering input to HAZOPs, HAZIDs, Risk Assessments, SIL assessments and other technical safety assessments / audits, both during the actual assessment and during subsequent action resolution.

    Audits and reporting

    • Ensure compliance of all Company rules relating to Integrity management and the management of major risk including engineering works
    • Prepare and follow-up actions relating to the prevention of major risks (risk studies, environmental impact analysis, emergency preparedness, safety alerts)
    • Conduct internal Maestro log audits of all Seveso Sites
    • Organize Integrity Audits of all assets and keep up-to-date records
    • Visit Plant/Depots/Stations to identify downgraded situations, integrity threats and derogations required. If any, assist with risk assessments and ensure adequate corrections (repairs, installations, etc)
    • Conducts unscheduled Safety Inspections of Sites, Plants & Depots to ascertain compliance of integrity status.
    • To attend all Serious Accident Scenes & meeting with the relevant Authorities
    • Invariance Program monitoring and reporting for service stations, general trade, ISPs and depots
    • Assistance to all Sites in preparation for audits or Company assessments
    • Adhere to all other adhoc requests by the Safety Manager and GM: HSSE

    Advising and training

    • Development and dissemination of the Technical integrity rules & regulations, verification and compliance
    • Risk assessments
    • Integrity audits & Action Plans
    • Return on experience and continuous improvements
    • Improving safety awareness amongst staff and contractors
    • To ensure that all TMSA staff understands their responsibilities for Health and Safety matters, that training needs have been identified and have obtained the appropriate level of competency.

    Communication/ Liaison

    Provide Recommendations And Feedback On

    • Health and Safety statistical analysis and actions required addressing deviations or initiating changes to improve safety performance.
    • Weekly & Monthly report on major audit findings and deviations for submission to Line Management.
    • To represent the division on various HSE committees and ensure the successful resolution of issues between the division and the other departments, support Divisional Management by resolving the problems to achieve successful and correct business outcomes.
    • Develop and maintain good working relationships with site personnel, other business units and 3rd party contractors and vendors through effective communication and regular site visits.
    • Report to top management on the performance and needs for improvement of Integrity Management and identify trends and possible corrective action, follow through and follow up on effectiveness of corrective actions.

    To manage the ongoing integrity steercoms including consolidation of information, verification for correctness, monitoring of progress and management of deviations to reduce the HSE risk to all TMSA operations

    Context and environment

    The TRM reports to the Safety Manager and is responsible for the implementation of the Company’s Technological Risk Management Rules and guidelines. The TRM therefore is responsible for oversight of emerging technological risks across affiliate

    • Chair monthly integrity Steercoms
    • Lead role in implementing the Technical integrity management program
    • Establish the contact with the Branch Integrity Manager and the Technical Integrity Expert

    Provides expertise and technical assistance

    TMSA including NBE subsidiaries. All sites for Retail / Logistics / B2B/ Specialities, 7 Seveso HCL depots, 1 Lube Manufacturing plant,540 Retail service stations, 453 Commercial installations, 13 ISPs

    • Degree in Chemical / Process Engineering or equivalent
    • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in the petrochemical industry
    • Process safety and/or engineering experience in oil and gas
    • English is the workin g language
    • Valid code 08 driver’s license

    Experience Level Required

    • Minimum 10 years
