    Technician Ref: WS 70/24.

    Requirements:

    • National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
    • Two to three years’ experience in providing technical support.
    • Valid EB (08) Driver’s Licence.
    • Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and policies, including MFMA, OSHACT, ISO 55001, ISO 9001, etc.
    • Willingness to work after hours when required.

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Provide technical support to ensure programme implementation according to specifications and that personnel are trained to utilize systems effectively.
    • Ensure adherence to standards, the implementation of maintenance projects, accurate record keeping, and cost control systems in the service branch.
    • Ensure accurate Technical Engineering information to monitor ongoing and future projects as well as Maintenance Engineering.
    • Ensure that Engineering Equipment and processes related to potable water and waste water treatment are maintained and upgraded to ensure continuous supply and compliance with legal requirements.
    • List critical spare parts and inform the Maintenance team to reduce equipment downtime for both planned and unplanned repairs.
    • Conduct root cause analyses for frequently failing equipment and compile technical reports.
    • Perform condition-based maintenance (CBM) on critical assets and compile reports.
    • Comply with COCT policies to meet client requirements within the institutional policies, standards, and arrangements.
