    Technical Manager

    Main accountabilities include but are not limited to:

     Production

    • Develop and program CNC machine instructions based on detailed design specifications and drawings.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve CNC programming issues, ensuring precise and accurate machining of components.
    • Continuously improve CNC programming techniques and workflows to enhance productivity and reduce errors.
    • Set up and maintain machine maintenance schedules and report machine breakdowns.
    • Ensure machinery is optimised for efficient and quality production.
    • Monitor quality and accuracy of technical drawings completed by the team
    • Implement and oversee quality control procedures with WFC Factory Manager to ensure that all prototypes and production runs meet business standards.

     Prototypes

    • Ensuring that design concepts / briefs are effectively translated into physical products through precise manufacturing techniques (materials, methodology etc).

     Team Leadership

    • Lead a team by providing guidance, training, and support.
    • Lead and manage R&D with regards to materials (finishes and hardware) and packaging.

     New Plant Investment  

    • Prior to investment, responsible for technical motivation in conjunction with WFC Factory Manager for final sign off.

    Technical skills:

    • A bachelor’s degree in industrial design, draughting or mechanical engineering
    • Proven experience in product design and development, including strong portfolio of successful projects
    • 5 years working experience in similar position

    Proficient in design software and computer literate:

    • AutoCAD
    • Fusion 360
    • Microsoft Office
    • CNC Programming
    • Electrical or mechanical background is beneficial
    • Solid understanding of raw material, hardware, construction/assembly and finishing
    • Demonstrate a passion for materials, furniture construction and design; will be creative & passionate about the Weylandts brand, eager to use their skills to maximize the brand look
    • This role will require a driver’s license and own reliable transport

    • Extremely accurate with an eye for detail
    • Positive, energetic, a self-starter and have excellent problem solving and decision-making skills
    • Good time management and communication skills
    • Be able to work under pressure and produce high quality work
    • Demonstrates positive hands on, can-do attitude
    • Focused and have high level of self-discipline and continuous willingness to learn
    • Must be able to work independently yet be a team player
