Supply Chain Planner (Protea) - Wadeville at Omnia (Pty) LTD

Overview    

• This role involves developing and executing demand forecasting, inventory management, and ensuring the timely availability of materials and finished products.

Qualifications    

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field
• Certification in supply chain management (e.g., APICS) is desirable

Experience    

• General Experience : 5 – 10 years

Duties    
Demand Planning:

• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and production teams to develop accurate demand forecasts based on customer inputs, market trends, and historical data
• Analyse demand patterns, seasonality, and market dynamics to optimize inventory levels and minimize stockouts and excess inventory
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between demand forecasts and production capabilities (manufactured items), procurement plan (purchased items), and logistics (distribution items)

Inventory Management:

• Monitor inventory levels, analyse stock movements, and implement inventory optimization strategies, such as safety stock management and ABC analysis

Supply Chain Coordination:

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth and efficient supply chain operations

Continuous Improvement:  

• Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and reduce costs within the supply chain
