Supervisor Training - Wessels Mine at South32

POSITION SYNOPSIS:

• To ensure that the Training Centre functions efficiently and effectively to deliver on its mandate related to all the Governance roles.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Diploma in Training & Development together with 5 years’ experience in underground mining of which at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity;
• Degree will be advantageous;
• Valid and current MQA registered Assessor and Moderator is essential;
• ISO 9001:2015 is essential;
• Knowledge of E-learning;
• Knowledge of SAP and MS packages is essential;
• Knowledge in BBBE, Mining Charter and SLP reporting;
• Computer literately in MS Office is essential.
   

 CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Implement and manage HMM ISO 9001: 2008 training processes in terms of mine training;
• Manage the Training delivery team;
• Prepare for and participate in ISO/DMR audit specific to training;
• Prepare and submit budgets for training discipline linked to Workplace Skills Plan;
• Inform monthly forecasts based upon changes in plan, delayed payments and other deviations;
• Inform monthly cost reports with progressive and monthly spend vs budget and Legislative reporting requirements on BBBEE, Mining Charter, SLP;
• Implement and enforce Health, Safety and Environmental systems, policies and procedures within training area.
