Supervisor Driver (Crane Operator) - eThekwini at eThekwini Municipality

Job Purpose    

• To drive various vehicles to transport staff, materials and equipment from and to site and assist
• with all Electrical Maintenance and Construction activities and functions as required.

Key Responsibility Areas    

• Perform specific activities at the Depot or work sites prior to and on completion of allocated
• Electricity related assignments.
• Inspect safety devices, operating controls. lubricant levels on vehicles and report any defects
• to the Administration Officer.
• Observe and participates in the loading/offloading of materials and equipment,using prescribed
• safety procedures.
• Transport personnel,materials and equipment to/from specific locations.
• Complete internal transactional documentation and forward to relevant personnel for
• processing.
• Operates light and heavy cars and trucks while providing a service to both the Maintenance
• and Construction Sections of the relevant Depots.

Essential Requirements    

• Appropriate level of secondary education.
• Valid motor vehicle drivers licence (Code EC) plus PRDP.
• 12 Months relevant experience.

Preferred Requirements    

• Matric/Grade 12.
• 18 Months relevant experience.
