Stores Attendant at eThekwini Municipality

Job Purpose    

• Assists the Senior Storekeeper in producing a high standard of service delivery to enable Units within the various Clusters to deliver a high standard of service and ensure customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibility Areas    

• Counts stocks and records actual quantities (reconciliation excluded).
• Applies safe storage, packing and loading practices.
• Assists with issuing/receiving functions.
• Attends to telephone queries.
• Assists with the manhandling of heavy goods where necessary.
• Undertakes the binning of goods.
• Assists with data capture / clerical duties.

Essential Requirements    

• An appropriate level of primary education.
• 1 Month relevant experience.

Preferred Requirements    

• Appropriate level of secondary education.
• 3 Months relevant experience.
• Computer Literacy.
