    Stock Controller

    Qualifications

    • Grade 12 (with Maths & Eng)
    • Registered Certificates in Inventory control, warehousing etc.

    Advantageous Requirements:

    • Knowledge of Inventory Management best practice.
    • Knowledge of Stock Control Computer Systems/Tools.

    Experience

    • 3 years’ demonstrated experience in Stock Control experience

    Duties

    • To ensure up-to-date inventory data is in the system at all times by processing all inventory movements as they happen, and to consolidate data in order to effectively track and monitor various aspects of inventory, including inventory usage and turnover.
    • To conduct monthly inventory cycle counts by matching physical quantities of inventory with those indicated in the ERP, report on findings, and to undertake the necessary corrective measures in case of discrepancies/variances.
    • To travel to various BME sites in order to facilitate inventory cycle counts, and provide monthly reports (including stock write-off reports, stock-aging reports, and stock movement reports).
    • To ensure adequate inventory of product in accordance with the inventory cycle, as well as sound risk management of inventory and stock levels in warehouses to ensure optimal use of space, minimum losses of materials, lower cost of sales, and shorter lead times.
    • To analyse, monitor compliance to and report on the stock control process, system and procedure with the view to assist with the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives that will reflect in business performance, customer satisfaction and employee satisfaction.
    • To support the distribution of all raw materials and final products, and to schedule and coordinate that the right goods are transported to the right destination at the right time (taking into account quality and safety prescriptions).
    • To liaise with relevant stakeholders and provide information on slow-moving inventory or inventory that appears to be below buffer requirements to ensure effective management of inventory.
    • To update the inventory data management system with new inventory items to ensure that BME has a comprehensive list of all inventory.
