SQL Server Consultant at iOCO

What you’ll do:

• Provide expert guidance on SQL Server database design, development, and optimization, with a focus on performance tuning and best practices.
• Work with cloud-native database services, including Azure SQL Database and MIS, to deploy, maintain, and optimize cloud-based solutions.
• Manage and implement advanced SQL Server services such as AlwaysOn, database mirroring, SSIS, SSRS, clustering, and replication.
• Design and implement database architectures, with strong adherence to best practices in data modeling, normalization, and denormalization.
• Troubleshoot complex SQL Server issues, focusing on query optimization, index tuning, and overall server configuration for optimal performance.
• Collaborate closely with clients to understand their technical and business needs, ensuring effective communication of technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Perform regular database health checks, audits, and optimizations to ensure high availability and peak performance of SQL Server environments.
• Provide recommendations for infrastructure improvements and assist with strategic database planning.

Your expertise:

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in a multi-tiered and multi-client environment.
• Proficient with SQL Server 2016, 2019+, with deep expertise in database design, optimization, and performance tuning.
• Experience with cloud-native database services such as Azure SQL Database or MIS.
• Strong understanding of advanced SQL Server services and features, including AlwaysOn, SSIS, SSRS, database mirroring, replication, and clustering.
• Proven experience with data modeling, schema design, and adhering to database best practices.
• Expertise in query optimization, index tuning, and SQL Server configuration for performance enhancement.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
