Specialist Process (Specialist PC&I Red) - South32, Richards Bay at South32

POSITION SYNOPSIS:

The purpose of this role is to ensure compliance with the production standards, operating procedures and control systems that ensure critical controls of the production processes exist and are effective.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Serious contenders will have a Degree/BTECH in Metallurgy/Mechanical Engineering/Chemical Engineering/Electrical Engineering;
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Process Control within a heavy industry environment;
• Experience in stakeholder engagement on middle management level is essential;
• Previous experience in Process Control in an Aluminum Smelter environment will be an added advantage.

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Producing production standards, operating procedures and control systems to ensure critical controls of the production processes are effective;
• Conducting production system monitoring and analysis.
• Identify improvements to production systems and practices to achieve and maintain the predicable, stable and required levels of operating performance within HSEC requirements.
