    Software Engineering Lead

    About the Role

    • As a Software Engineering Lead, you will be leading and mentoring a diverse, motivated team of engineers. You will be writing code on complex systems and applications. Working on shared goals, you’ll build an environment focused on encouraging creativity and collaboration. You will provide direction on projects, process improvements and key technical decisions, ensuring high-profile deliverables are completed.

    Responsibilities

    • Working in a diverse agile environment fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
    • Serving as the initial point of escalation for software development issues within specific area of responsibility.
    • Utilizing your extensive knowledge of the pipelines’ core technologies to coach the team in delivery of the product roadmap.
    • Working closely with the product and architecture teams to take complex requirements and translate them into software designs.
    • Building relationships with all members of the technology team, including, but not limited to development, quality, architecture and infrastructure.
    • Training all members of the team in their technical and professional aspirations and stay updated with the latest technologies.
    • Implementing development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews.
    • Carrying out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, procedures, and applicable laws.

    Requirements

    • Have extensive knowledge and experience in the following technologies but not limited to C#, Angular, SQL, Couchbase, AWS.
    • Have a BSc Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent.
    • Have more than 5 years of Software Engineering experience.
    • Demonstrate experience leading a team in an Agile development environment with exposure to distributed large systems.
    • Demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build relationships remotely and face-to-face.
    • Able to write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of complex system components.
