    Shift Superintendent Woodyard

    • We’re on the lookout for an experienced Shift Superintendent Woodyard to manage resources with the objective of producing quality and quantity products according to customer requirements and according to mill standards and objectives.

    As a Shift Superintendent Woodyard, you will be responsible for:

    • Lead a Shift based team
    • Participate in relevant forums to facilitate effective communication.
    • Recommend maintenance/upgrade/replacement of existing equipment to optimize production efficiency.
    • Plan the plant operations to ensure the maximum utilization of the resources.
    • Manage the execution of production activities to sustain quality standards and plant efficiency.
    • Assess and manage abnormal plant conditions to ensure plant stability
    • Assess staff against position profile & coaches/mentors team members.
    • Ensure on-the-job and off-the-job training activities.
    • Monitor and adjust employee roles and responsibilities.
    • Evaluate and direct performance of the team and team members against goals and standards of conduct to ensure maximum performance.
    • Enforce and comply with the SHEQ requirements of the section.
    • Monitor subordinate’s performance against SHEQ requirements and correct non-conformances.
    • Investigate incidents (SHEQ) and identify root causes of Non-Conformances and correct deviations.
    • Maintain a high level of good housekeeping in the workplace at all time
    • Ensure BBS observations are conducted according to mill objectives
    • Ensure adherence to annual fixed cost, overtime, and manpower budgets.
    • Communicate with the internal and external suppliers/customers.
    • Respond to customer feedback and takes corrective action if required.

    What are we looking for?

    • National Diploma in Pulp and Paper or Chemical Engineering
    • Computer Literate (MS Office Package)
    • SAP knowledge will be advantages
    • Minimum of 3 Years Production Environment experience
