Job Description

To be responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining and monitoring an environment consisting of Windows and Linux servers, connected to a SAN environment; This environment will consist of both physical and virtual servers on both platforms.

• Drive business profitability in the context of cost management through Information technology solutions
• Increase operational efficiency and suggest solutions to enhance cost effectiveness.
• Ensure Hardware and Software asset management of deployed environments are controlled to ensure investment turn.
• Deliver exceptional service that exceeds customers’ expectations through proactive, innovative and appropriate solutions by resolving queries fast end effective.
• Cultivate and manage objective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including end-users, SME’s, project managers and senior staff members by providing input to business requirements.
• Install, configure, maintain and monitoring an environment consisting of Windows and Linux servers connected to a SAN environment by ensuring both physical and virtual servers on both platforms are controlled and manage server operating systems and application software and hardware upgrades.
• Comply, understand, and implement all steps within IT development and meet governance in terms of legislative and audit requirements by applying and maintaining the security policies according to FRB Audit standards.
• Perform UAT setup, testing, technical and maintenance tasks and ensure that all system alerts are rectified and escalated accordingly through providing all technical support for business servers and applications.
• Manage and maintain customer Service Level Agreements (SLA) to install, maintain and support with Server requirements.
• Ensure the adherence to architectural standards and compliance and conformance to internal change management procedures and policies.
• Provision of an efficient administration service through careful and timeous planning, reporting and updating of all related information
• Manage own development to increase own competencies.
• Ensure the continuous availability of all DR/Training/Prod/ UAT/ Dev environments.
