    Senior Specialist - Marketing Technology

    Role Purpose

    The role is accountable for guiding customer engagement across all relevant digital platforms, including customer adoption of digital sales and self-service channels. The role will provide clear direction for digital marketing technology across the whole Vodacom business, working in close coordination with the Brand, Digital Channels and Big Data squads. Outputs include providing clear roadmaps for digital marketing technology to drive improvement of overall brand and commercial goals within various business units.

    Your Responsibilities Will Include

    • Drive the development of an integrated digital marketing technology stack to drive commercial objectives in the digital environment, including DMP (Adobe Audience Manager), Adobe Target, Adobe Analytics, DSP (Adform), Media Planning (Lumina), Datorama, Neustar (Attribution)
    • Steer implementation via relevant teams and drive hands-on implementation where feasible to pragmatically speed up progress and drive automation
    • Manage technology lifecycle (requirements, scope, schedule, resources, testing, quality, release, costs, and changes) for cross-functional initiatives
    • Ensure support and coordination from Vodacom leadership, product management, technology teams and further stakeholders
    • Lead the efforts across other Vodacom teams and steer our marketing technology related projects


    The Ideal Candidate For This Role Will Have

    • 3 year Business, Quantative or Technical related Degree or National Diploma or
    • 8-10 yrs experience within a relevant environment, relevant technical qualifications
    • At least 5 years’ experience in marketing technology platforms, preferably in a fast-paced, agile environment
    • Detailed hands-on experience in implementing, integrating and operating systems that make up the marketing technology stack
    • Experience with analytics software including PowerBI, Qlik, Adobe Analytics and Datorama
    • Experience in advanced analytics areas including SQL, data warehouse and big data
    • Proven track-record of driving projects and creating impact through pragmatic problem-solving
    • Capable of working in a complex matrix organisations and able to build strong relationships and credibility with multiple levels both internally and externally
