    Senior Specialist Data Intelligence

    Role Purpose:

    • The senior data intelligence specialist role focuses on the development and implementation of advanced data analytics and data intelligence solutions enabling data-driven decision-making, uncovering hidden insights, and identifying opportunities for growth and operational improvements across various business functions. This role ensures data consistency and accuracy, that ultimately drives enhanced business performance and competitiveness through informed decision-making based on comprehensive and reliable data and is the end-to-end owner of the single source of truth based on the data accuracy within the business.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Single Source of Truth (SSOT) Management: Maintaining and enhancing the single source of truth database to ensure data consistency, accuracy, and reliability across the organisation.

    Data Analysis:

    • Perform in-depth data analysis to uncover hidden insights, trends, and patterns that can inform decision-making and drive operational improvements.
    • Data Quality and Consistency: Ensure the accuracy and reliability of all data by implementing and maintaining data quality controls and governance processes.

    Reporting and Visualisation:

    • Develop and maintain custom data driven reports and visualizations, presenting complex data in an easily digestible format for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

    Predictive Analytics:

    • Apply advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to predict future outcomes, identify potential risks, and support proactive decision-making.

    Collaboration:

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data-driven opportunities for growth and improvement and support the implementation of data-driven initiatives.

    Continuous Improvement:

    • Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of data analytics and business intelligence solutions, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.

    Thought Leader

    • Trusted and respected as a thought leader and change agent who can influence and persuade business and TowerCo Leadership Team. Including people management, team effectiveness, people development, employee engagement.

    Supplier /Contract Management

    • Develop governance structures to monitor, evaluate and manage supplier, contractors, and 3rd party’s performance (SLA/KPI) against their contracted scope of work and benchmark best practice.

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:
    Technical / professional qualifications:

    • Holding a high school diploma or equivalent (Grade 12) is a prerequisite.
    • Possessing a 3-year related qualification, such as a diploma or bachelor's degree, would be advantageous (preference for a BSC degree).
    • A minimum of 5-8 years of relevant work experience, with a demonstrated history of success in key outputs and disciplines, is essential.

    Core competencies, knowledge, and experience:

    • Strong analytical capabilities to effectively analyse and interpret data, uncovering valuable insights and trends.
    • Proficiency in data manipulation, analysis, and visualisation tools, such as SQL, Python, R, Tableau, or Power BI.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to convey complex data-driven insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Solid problem-solving abilities to identify and address challenges related to data analytics and business intelligence.
    • The capacity to adapt to new technologies, industry trends, and evolving business requirements in the field of data analytics.
    • Experience working with relational datasets, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
    • Familiarity with advanced statistical and machine learning techniques.
    • Knowledge of data governance and data quality principles and practices.
    • Proven track record in implementing and managing data analytics and business intelligence solutions in a tower company or similar industry.
