Senior Professional Officer - Communication & Culture at City of Cape Town

Requirements

• Relevant B Degree
• 4 - 5 years relevant experience
• Driver’s licence would be advantageous
• Excellent written skills with proven speech writing competency
• Understanding of Local Government structures and principles

Key Performance Areas

• Providing a high level information gathering, culture change, research, analysis, branding, reputation management and communications support function for the City Manager
• Developing, coordinating and implementing culture change initiatives that involve the City Manager
• Responsible for coordinating culture change campaigns led by the City Manager in consultation with Organisational Effectiveness and Innovation
• Researching and developing solutions and practices in response to research requirements and complex queries received by the City Manager
• Providing a general communications interface and functionality on behalf of the City Manager
• Drawing up of various reports and correspondence of a more complex and involved nature to facilitate the functioning of the Office of the City Manager
