This role will report directly to the Head of Product.

What you'll be doing

• Understand the requirements and needs of customers to ensure the successful design of new features.
• Play an active role in the design and strategy of our products, features, and user experience.
• Ensure customer/user feedback is integrated into the product’s ongoing design and development.
• Work collaboratively with other designers - sometimes you’ll own a feature from idea to production. Other times you’ll turn someone’s idea into a prototype. Sometimes you’ll work on an idea for an iteration.
• Contribute towards developing and maintaining our Design Systems and practices. Help us scale design to a growing team.
• Review the work of engineers implementing your designs and provide feedback
• While not an initial requirement, we’d love for all designers to eventually be able to jump into the code and build their own components and designs using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

• You’re a fast learner, with a passion for keeping track of the details that matter.
• When it comes to design, you care as much about what it is and how it works, as you do about what it looks like.
• The idea of incorporating user feedback, data-derived insights, and research into your design process excites you more than you’d like to admit.
• You’re a self-starter, you find what needs to be done and do it.
• Can demonstrate your work/experience through a portfolio (or at least talk in great depth about specific key projects you've worked on)
• You have a knack for simplifying complicated concepts and designing interfaces that just make sense.
• A natural ability to empathize, listen and understand complex situations.
• You welcome feedback on your work and yourself from your team, and will proactively seek it out.
• You understand your work is never done, but will happily iterate and improve until the end of time.
• You are comfortable staying agile and adaptive in an ever-shifting environment.

What do we mean by Senior Designer?

• You have 5-10 years of experience ranging from doing research, user testing to designing high-fidelity UI screens
• You can develop the process/approach for tackling the problem
• You lead others, or others look to you for guidance.
• You are happy to facilitate meetings/workshops and collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape design solutions
• You are happy to present designs in stakeholder and executive meetings
