Senior Manager: Supply Chain Management - Somerset West at Overberg Water Board

REQUIREMENTS

• Grade 12 or Matric 
• A B Degree/ B Tech in Supply Chain Management/ Finance or relevant qualification equivalent to NQF 7
• Post graduate qualification will be advantageous

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

• At least 5-8 years Senior Managerial experience in Supply Chain Management/Finance
• Knowledge of Bid Committee processes
• Acquisition, Appointment, Contractual Agreements and Disposal
• Computer literacy computer skills at a highly proficient level and knowledge of ERP System
• Strong SCM background is essential
• People management skills are required
• Project management experience (advantageous)

Requirements

REQUIRED FUNCTIONAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: 

• Working knowledge of relevant Public Sector legislation, e.g PFMA, 
• National and Provincial Treasury Regulations, Administrative Law, BBEEE, Preferential Procurement Framework 
• Working knowledge of Human Resources Management 
• Risk Management
• Project Management 
• Working knowledge of Supply Chain Management principles in the public sector 
• Application and interpretation of SCM legislative and regulatory framework 
• High level report writing, people, planning, time management and interpersonal skills 
• Computer skills at a highly proficient level  
• Unendorsed driver's license and own transport 
• Local travel will be required in the course of duties
