    Senior Manager - Planning and Commercial Strategy Consumer

    JOB DESCRIPTION
    Mission/Core purpose of the Job

    • Responsible for the Strategy, Business Planning and Forecasting of the Consumer Business Unit,collaborating with the rest of the Consumer segments to communicate performance against the business plan objectives.
    • Consolidates the Consumer Roadmaps and track against performance, including actions for correction and growth.
    • End to end Consumer Business Unit reporting including Financial and non financial metrics, risk and compliance and Element2 KPIs.
    • Acts as the representative for Consumer on all aspects relating to the total division including Business Continuity plans, BBBEE, Risk and Compliance, PPPs, Group Culture Audit, Sentimeter.

    Key Activities & Responsibilities
    Strategy

    • Owner of the Consumer Strategy, Vision and Mission to align the department for MTN SA and Group delivery.
    • Planning and Commercial Strategy Leadership
    • Develop Consumer strategies in alignment with overall MTN Strategy in order to devise the annual operating plan,
    • KPIs and revenue targets. Implement through the rest of the Consumer team.
    • Alert stakeholders to potential opportunities and risks relating to MTN SA.
    • Coordinate the planning across the Consumer function and ensures that product and segment strategies all support the envisaged Consumer objectives.
    • Extensive collaboration and integration will be required with the product and solution development team as well as the Consumer segment and customer experience team in arriving at the final GTM proposition. This will require extensive work at the strategic level, platform and technology level as well as the design level.
    • Collaborates with Brand and Marketing to advise on marketing approaches based on product performance.
    • Manages internal stakeholders who contribute to or can influence the Consumer business’ planning (e.g. Customer Experience and Risk)
    • Drive the execution and implementation of operational plans, initiating corrective actions where necessary.
    • Ensure that operational plans and models comply with processes and procedures across MTNSA.
    • Consider and drive best practice, continuous improvement and innovation at process and procedure level.
    • Construct, implement and fine-tune methods, processes and systems to enhance effectiveness and meet goals.
    • Define, implement and maintain Consumer Customer Segmentation which will foster targeted strategies for

    QUALIFICATIONS
    Education

    • Minimum of 4 year tertiary qualification

    Experience

    • Minimum 10 years experience including:
    • Senior management track record of 5 years or more, with at least 3 years in relevant sector/industry in a strategic commercial or marketing role.
    • Experience working in a global/multinational enterprise/ FMCG.
    • Knowledge of consumer data analytics, management, and platforms in a Techo environment.
    • Experience in continuous improvement through the implementation of best practices.
    • Understanding of emerging markets.
