    Senior Librarian-Services

    Requirements

    •  B.Bibl/B.LIS or PG Dipl.LIS or B.Inf (Hons)
    •  At least four years’ public library experience, including supervisoryexperience
    •  Proven experience in collection development which include books, periodicals and audio-visual material
    •  Sound leadership and management abilities
    •  Successful candidates will be required to work evenings and on Saturdays on a roster basis
    •  Proven computer literacy in MS applications and enterprise resource planning i.e. SAP

    Key Performance Areas

    •  Directing and controlling the key performance indicators and outcomes of personnel in the library ensuring the library is effectively managed
    •  Supervising, training and developing staff
    •  Directing and reporting on the service-related issues within the library
    •  Assisting with the development and management of relationships and partnerships pertaining to the library
    •  Performing necessary administrative tasks
    •  Responsible for the marketing andadvocacy of and within the library
