Senior Lecturer - Department of Marketing Management at University of Pretoria/Universiteit van Pretoria

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The incumbent will be responsible for:

• Lecturing at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level;
• Supervising postgraduate students;
• Conducting scientific research and publications in the field of Marketing;
• Liaising with students, parents and other stakeholders; 
• Managing academic departmental events and supervising tutors.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• A Doctorate with specialisation in the field of Marketing Management;
• Lecturing experience at tertiary level; 
• At least one publication in an accredited journal, peer-reviewed journals and/or conference proceedings; and
• Experience in the supervision of postgraduate students.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES (SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND BEHAVIOURAL ATTRIBUTES):

• Appropriate language proficiency as well as appropriate communication skills; 
• Computer literacy.

ADDED ADVANTAGES AND PREFERENCES:

• Lecturing experience at postgraduate level;
• Experience in the guidance of postgraduate students’ research; 
• Practical marketing experience in commerce or industry; and
• Experience in independent research and/or involvement in research activities.
