Minimum Requirements
Qualification(s):

• B Sc Eng/B.Eng in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic, Computer, Civil, Metallurgical or Industrial Engineering
• ECSA Registered Pr Eng

Experience:

• 4 Years related experience in engineering design, design integration and engineering management in power distribution technologies for power system engineering, power flow simulations, load forecasting, solar plants, wind energy plants and related grid connection of renewable power generation technologies.
• 4 Years Post qualification experience

Key Responsibilities

• Provides input into discipline-specific technology vision, strategy and direction setting
• Develops discipline specific philosophies, technical standards, procedures, work practices and specifications for approval
• Produces and integrates engineering solutions/designs for asset creation on behalf of customers at various stages of the project life cycle.
• Conducts discipline-specific research into new technologies
• Participates in national and international technical forums
• Manages and conducts product, equipment, material, service and change impact evaluations
• Provides technical consulting and investigation service for customers
• Provides professional technical leadership over engineers within their own discipline.
• Network load forecast, confirming historical loads and identify potential new loads
• Produce 10-year Network development plans
• Respond to Customer applications by producing planning proposals and indicative Cost estimates (CRA Approval)
