Job Description

• Responsible for the efficient inventory management of the business unit.
• The delivery of high levels of customer service and the assurance of a profitable business unit.
• Managing stock at Douglas Retail in terms of orders, receipt, stock levels, general neatness and shelf care.

Requirements

• The suitable candidate must have a Grade 12 certificate;
• Candidates with 2 years relevant experience in inventory management will be given preference.

Duties and Responsibilities

• General management and control of inventory levels as per budget guidelines;
• Manage staff of the business unit;
• Financial management of the business unit;
• Management of slow moving and surplus stock;
• Handles direct orders and returns of stock to suppliers;
• Planning and coordinating deliveries;
• Perform shelf care;
• Responsible for weekly and monthly promotions;
• Manage business unit strategic objectives;
• Excellent customer service and relationship management;
• Safety management and loss control.
