    Sales Executive - SLIMS

    Job Description

    What are we looking for?

    • We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Sales Executive to join our team responsible for our Specialised Logistics division.
    • This role is crucial for driving our distribution services to retailers and consumer markets. The services will include retail distribution, merchandising and consumer /ecommerce deliveries.
    • The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales, a deep understanding of the distribution industry, and the ability to forge strong relationships with key decision-makers. The candidate will generate and follow up on leads within the industry to meet sales targets.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Sales Strategy Development: Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base in the retail and consumer sectors.
    • Client Acquisition: Identify potential business clients, understand their requirements, and propose tailored distribution solutions that meet their needs.
    • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships. Act as the primary point of contact and manage individual accounts to ensure client satisfaction and service excellence.
    • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs actively. Stay up-to-date with new product/services launches and ensure clients are aware of our latest offerings.
    • Sales Presentations: Prepare and deliver appropriate presentations on products and services. Ensure that sales materials and presentations are up-to-date and relevant.
    • Negotiation and Closure: Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits while maintaining the company’s standard of service and reputation.
    • Collaboration: Work closely with the operational team to identify and tap into new distribution opportunities.
    • Reporting: Track sales performance, report regularly to the senior management team, and provide accurate revenue forecasts.

    Requirements:
     Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
    • Proven work experience of at least 5-7 years as a sales executive, sales manager or sales and marketing director, preferably in the distribution or retail sector.

    Skills:

    • Strong business sense and industry expertise in distribution services.
    • Excellent mentoring, coaching, and people management skills.
    • Superior analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
    • Exceptional negotiation and sales skills.
    • The candidate must have the ability and skill to work in a “start-up “business venture within a media       logistics business.
    • Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience's needs.
    • Proficient in CRM and courier delivery software and Microsoft Office Suite.

    Personal Attributes:

    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • High degree of professionalism and dedication.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts.
    •    Willingness to travel extensively as required by the role and must have own transport.
