    Sales Business Development Manager

    Background:

    • Apex enables Omnichannel communications between businesses and customers. Our products and solutions streamline customer communication by empowering end-users through the choice of channel and speed of chat.
    • Our omni-channel offering is growing as consumer needs broaden by giving them the choice to engage with a business via Whatsapp for Business, SMS, USSD, Web, Facebook Messenger, Telegram and more. Using these channels we power Chatbots, Competitions, Live Chat, Training and Microlearning campaigns, as well as enhancing our client's data sets at scale. 
    • Our loyal clients are spread across a diverse range of industries including Retail, Insurance, Logistics, Healthcare, Training, FMCG, Automotive, Recycling, Finance, eCommerce, and Sales.

    The Apex headquarters are in the beautiful Cape Town, South Africa although we power solutions around the globe
    Job Synopsis:

    Experience:

    • 1/2 years working in similar industry (Tech field/SaaS/Digital)
    • Experience in Selling is required (2yr+)
    • Successful sales track record.
    • Experience in working with Operations/Development/Support teams

    • Sales closing skills (cold + warm)
    • Strong communication skills (internal + client facing)
    • Customer service
    • Strong planning and implementation skills (excellent time management skills)

    • Project management strengths
    • Strong negotiation skills
    • Strong commercial understanding
    • Excellent attention to detail

    Duties and responsibilities:

    • Outperform sales targets & KPIs
    • Prospecting new Leads/ revenue for the business
    • Creating targeted hitlists (agency/ industry)
    • Cold Calling
    • Converting leads to sales
    • Presenting & pitching solutions to clients
    • Booking meetings & logging deals, calls via Hubspot
    • Use phone, email, social media, and other digital channels to prospect into all account segments
    • Providing account reports and always-on customer feedback/resolutions
    • Account planning, setups, and communication
    • Working with the Support and Account Management teams to achieve the above

    Day to day role:

    • Cold calling new prospects
    • Handle inbound enquiries
    • Present to potential customers
    • Logging deals, calls, meetings into Hubspot (CRM)
    • Move deals through stages to close
    • Create proactive proposals
    • Serve customers by selling products and meeting customer needs.
    • Support & work with account managers
    • Establish relationship with Enterprise / C suite clients
    • Prospecting and activities related to finding new business
