Regional Manager - REF: JW391EX/2024 at Johannesburg Water

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in the development of overall strategy for the region in the context of the policy framework set by Johannesburg Water.
• Initiate and coordinate the formulation of policy for the development of service delivery in the respective regions.
• Ensure appropriate auditing, monitoring, and control in all areas of functional responsibility (e.g., standards, policies, procedures, financial controls, stock controls, plan and vehicle control, etc.).
• Plan, propose, and implement proactive measures and responses to public needs and requests to improve service delivery.
• Liaise with all customers as and when required within the region.
• Responsible for sound financial management of the region.
• Ensure proper financial control and adherence to procurement policy and stores control.
• Responsible for sound Human Resources Management for the region.
• Ensure compliance with the OHS Act and Johannesburg Water policies and procedures.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Essential qualifications and experience:

• BSc or B. Tech degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering (NQF 7).
• 7 years’ experience in water & sanitation operations of which 5 years must be at a managerial level.
• Driver’s License Code EB
