Reelstand Operator - Cape Town at Novus Holdings Ltd

• Novus Print: Montague Gardens is currently seeking to appoint an individual, with knowledge and experience in an FMCG printing environment to take on the role of a Reelstand Operator to ensure the accurate preparation of reels. The successful candidate will report directly to the Shift Leader in the Press department.

Key Duties and Responsibilities    

• Ensure correct paper size, grammage and check QTMS loaded.
• Assist with paper breaks and change over.
• Fault finding.
• Management of excess paper and prevention of spoilage.
• Ensure accurate preparation of reels to maintain desired quality within time tolerance.
• Assist on the press when required.
• Ensure good housekeeping standards are maintained.
• Adherence to safety procedures and operational maintenance.

Educational Requirements    

• Matric or equivalent

Experience Requirements    

• 1-2 years’ experience as a Reelstand Operator.
• Exposure to the Press room environment.

• Basic paper and Reelstand knowledge
• The ability to work independently on the assigned responsibilities
• Show initiative to improve the work environment

• Must be able to work fast and accurately
