    Project Coordinator - CMD

    Brief description

    The main purpose of this position is to provide administrative and business coordination support for all strategic projects-related deliverables in support of the Supply Chain Management (SCM) Division within the Currency Management Department (CMD).

    Detailed description

    The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas:

    • Provide project technical coordination to optimise project scope, costs and execution schedules. 
    • Coordinate the development and review of the project governance requirements (e.g. charter, scope document, quality standards, budget/cost estimates and schedules) and the updating thereof.
    • Schedule meetings, draft minutes, consolidate information for meetings for SCM-related projects to ensure that actions are executed by business stakeholders. 
    • Collate and maintain risk management information and provide evidence of mitigation plans to the Compliance and Records Coordinator within CMD.
    • Collate, integrate and coordinate the project execution plan documentation (i.e. tracking sheets, presentations, financial spreadsheets, change requests, etc.) tailored for each project to ensure the effective and efficient execution by business stakeholders.
    • Coordinate cost control measures.
    • Coordinate and report on the project schedules, project performance and progress to the project stakeholders and sponsor on a monthly basis and when required.
    • Coordinate an appropriate finalisation of the projects for the Divisional Head as per the Project Management Office (PMO) framework. 
    • Contain and follow up on project activities to ensure project continuity within business. 
    • Coordinate all lessons learnt documentation and workshops to implement best practices gained from past experiences into systems, tools and guidelines for use in future projects to improve the overall project management effectiveness and efficiencies within business.
    • Provide administrative services to the relevant section within the SCM Division to ensure business continuity.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    To be considered for this position, candidates must be in possession of:

    • a minimum of a National Diploma (NQF 6) or an equivalent qualification in project management; and 
    • a minimum of three to five years’ broad cross-functional experience in project co-ordination and process management as well as supply chain management project exposure.
