Professional Surveyor (Production Level): Survey and Mapping at Western Cape Government

Job Purpose

The Department of Transport and Public Works , Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent Professional Surveyor to perform surveys and process all survey related data in accordance with set standards and supply processed Survey/cartography related information, plans and provide technical support. This post is based in Cape Town. CBD.

Minimum Requirements

• An appropriate 4-year Survey/Geomatics degree (BSc - Survey/Geomatics) or relevant qualification
•  A minimum of 3 years post qualification survey experience; Compulsory registration with SAGC as Professional Surveyor
• Compulsory registration with SAGC as Professional Land Surveyor to perform cadastral surveys
• A valid code B (or higher) driving license.

Recommendation

Exposure to expropriation, and registration survitudes managing of a survey professional team.

Remuneration

Grade A: R 646 854 - R 696 834 per annum; Grade B: 739 605 - R 789 267 per annum; Grade C: R 833 922 - R 982 326 per annum (Salary will be determined based on post registration experience as per the OSD prescript)

Note on remuneration: Cost-to-employer (CTE) remuneration packages for certain occupation-specific dispensations (OSD), the middle-management service (MMS) and contract positions are inclusive of all costs related to service benefits or obligations including basic salary, 13th cheque, medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc. MMS remuneration packages are flexible and may be individually structured as prescribed. Where remuneration is not indicated as CTE, employees' service benefits or obligations are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
