    Production Team Leads (Operations Excellence Leads)

    How you will contribute

    You will:

    • Delivers overall SQCDSM targets for the lines, units under responsibility; owns shift results of the line/s and is responsible for budgeting and delivering on the budgets for the line/Shift.
    • Translates Section Targets into shift targets and deploys them to his/her team following Hoshin/goal setting.
    • Ensures that each Mondelez Employee in his/her team has individual specific and measurable targets related to the line overall targets, and a clear understanding of what is expected from them and documents it as a work plan for records.
    • Manages cost as the budgets, eliminates all losses, plans production and resources, and is involved in recruitment for new team members.
    • Understands the losses in their area and equipment and takes lead and coordinate with team to take appropriate actions to highlight, plan and eliminate them.
    • Supports any new Product initiatives, Commissioning, Qualification and Verification work.
    • Conducts regular PDCAwith the team to plan how the targets are going to be achieved, executes the plan and periodically checks and takes necessary actions to stay on track.
    • Runs the DMS cycle for his shift, owns DMS 3 and sets the shift direction (hourly) for his line team.
    • Builds capability and develops the team related to IL6S as well as other areas.
    • Do yearly performance reviews of the team reporting to him/her and ensures that every individual has an active development plan in place and does regular 1:1s with each of his team members to review performance and help them to grow.
    • Timely resolves issues in the shift and for his department timely and displays servant leadership doing so, manages the team in line with company's values and HPWS principles.
    • Represents the shift in one or two pillars and drives the related work for the section.
    • Ensures that his team and shift are making progress for the line and leads the IL6S implementation in his area working with plant central resources and pillar teams.
    • Takes responsibility for qualification of team skill matrices defined for the roles and ensure team gains technical mastery.
    • Takes responsibility for qualification on skill matrices defined for the roles and to gain technical mastery on the equipment.
    • Owns some of the IL6S systems (HS&E, Quality, and Cost) at shift level and owns a few systems at department/section level; and may also own a system or process at the plant level.
    • Builds his/her own mastery in the operation, people management and IL6S.

    • Knowledge of HSE systems and practices
    • Knowledge of Quality systems and practices
    • Knowledge of People Management processes and practices
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Teams (Excel in particular)
    • Knowledge of Confectionery and chocolate manufacturing theory and practice
    • Knowledge of Chocolate Making would be advantageous.

    Education / Certifications:

    • Applicants must have a Grade 12.
    • National Diploma/Degree in Chemical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Manufacturing/Supply Chain Management/Operations/Production Management/Trade Test and/or equivalent

    Job specific requirements:

    • Minimum 5 Years experience in the manufacturing environment
    • Relevant experience working on continuous improvement initiatives i.e. LEAN, TPM, IL6S
    • 3 years’ experience in a production management role
