    Product System Analyst: Payments and Settlements (Everyday Banking)

    Job Summary

    •     This role will provided support to the Head of Payments and Settlements support with regard to the control environment design and implementation; investigations (recons, IT incidents, etc.). 
    •     This role will look to ensure that product system controls are designed, implemented and monitored across RBB.
    •     This role will require the ability to understand and navigate and engage with various stakeholders across Business, Technology, Risk and finance around product system (Cheques, Cams, MPS etc)  transaction processing and impact on G/L

        Role will also look to engage across internal and external stakeholders (Industry/Card schemes, customers) to ensure that financial recoveries are carried out in the instance that industry incidents occur.
    Job Description

    • The Product System Analyst together with the Head of payments and Settlements is responsible for financial management, including developing forward-thinking analysis, generating management reports, statutory compliance, scaling automated financial processes, crafting financial strategies aligned to business financial health and growth objectives within his/her function of the BU. The Senior Manager: Finance ensures that business makes sound financial decisions.
    • The Product System Analyst is also responsible with Head of Payments and Settlements for enabling business achieve their operational objectives. By building an agile finance capability able to transform, to bring stewardship, financial integrity & insights to the current state of the business & its future possibilities to deliver on the new operating model and to achieve the business strategy objectives set by Absa Africa United for RBB. 

    Education

    • Postgraduate Degrees and Professional Qualifications: Financial Sciences (Required)
