• To develop the product strategy for the portfolio that is optimally aligned to industry opportunities, the organisation’s vision and business objectives, and the needs of customers within the market/area we serve
• To conceptualise, innovate, and operationalise solutions within their portfolio that drive continuous improvement of product, systems, processes, procedures and best practice standards
• To develop budget for the portfolio and effectively monitor and deliver on the financials of the portfolio in such a way that it optimises profitability
• To build an effective and professional relationship with relevant internal and external stakeholders to ensure that business objectives are achieved
• To work collaboratively within team of peers and other stakeholders within the business in order to achieve optimal alignment of portfolio strategy and achieve sales and profit budgets
• To coach, guide, and manage performance of subordinate(s) in order to instil a high-performance culture

Requirements

• Relevant tertiary qualification with a Supply Chain Management and/or Finance and/or Business Administration focus
• Minimum of 5 years' experience of buying in related industries
