    Product Manager | Procurement (Western Cape)

    Job Responsibilities 

    • Processing/loading purchase orders
    • Checking prices and product codes
    • Assisting sales with general inquiries
    • Follow up with vendors on shipment readiness
    • Communicating important feedback between relevant departments
    • Dealing with and responding to high volumes of calls and emails
    • Assisting sales with shipment updates
    • Check stock quantities and do planned orders
    • Technical support on product set
    • Keep up with market trends and the ability to identify market segments
    • Weekly sell out/age reports and forecasting
    • Nurturing and developing relationships with key accounts
    • Working closely with international vendors
    • Submitting Vendor sellout reports on a weekly basis
    • Updating selling prices on key brands on a weekly basis
    • Support from the relevant Account Managers to follow through on daily processes.
    • Building relationships with new and existing clients. They, therefore, require strong communication and presentation skills.
    • Attending regular meetings with clients
    • Work in line with Syntech’s core values
    • New product introduction plans within regions and various channels
    • Travel with Sales to strategic customers in the pre-sales phase in order to assist in the selling of the product
    • Manage the product throughout the product lifecycle
    • Ensuring grouped brand targets with Age Targets are reach on a monthly basis
    • Brand training to sales and customers are done for product set

    Education and Experience 

    • Completion of Matric or National Senior Certificate
    • Trustworthy and dependable
    • At least 3-5-year experience in the IT industry
    • Two years’ experience in a similar role in product management/procurement
    • Punctual and willing to do what is necessary to meet deadlines
    • Ability to take initiative and manage own time effectively
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Excellent problem-solving skills
    • Well organised and able to prioritise effectively
    • Not afraid to ask questions or escalate challenges where necessary
    • Maintaining and observing a high degree of professionalism & ensuring confidentiality always
    • Effective organisational & planning skills
    • Professional attitude
    • Work well under pressure
    • Must be able to travel from time to time
