Product Designer- Payments at Yoco

What you will be doing

Payments

• Collaborate with the relevant Design Lead to contribute to the design of our payments+ ecosystem with a core focus on Point of Sale features.
• Participate in workshops with cross-functional stakeholders, ensuring relevant input is integrated into the design work.
• Balance customer needs and usability with business goals and technical constraints.
• Participate in planning and prioritising your design work to ensure a balance between thoroughness and timely delivery.
• Design and test features and flows that sit between our front-office Point of Sale software, how those features play on our card machines as well as on our back-office software.

Design Practice

• Collaborate with the Design Systems team and Brand team to ensure consistency and coherence in our experiences.
• Consume and contribute to the design and maintenance of design systems and guidelines.
• Actively participate in the design community, sharing knowledge and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

About you

• Someone with 3-5 years of experience designing and delivering complex software products in cross-functional teams.
• Strong understanding and practical application of end-to-end design processes.
• Comfortable with high levels of ambiguity, proactively gathers information, and develops artefacts that bring clarity
• Experience working with and contributing to design systems.
• Curiosity-driven and adaptable, with a strong focus on customer needs.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate design decisions clearly.
• Valuing team connection and bringing unique skills to the team.
