    Procurement & Supply Chain Manager

    What You'll Do: 

    • As a Procurement & Supply Chain Manager, you'll be at the forefront of our innovation, driving the Procurement activity in Durban according to Lubrizol Procurement standards and Policies and ensuring Segregation of Duties is respected for all purchases within the site.
    • You'll collaborate with a diverse group of passionate individuals to deliver sustainable solutions to advance mobility, improve wellbeing and enhance modern life.
    • Your work will directly impact the way we buy indirect goods & services and logistics and how we proceed with supply chain management.

    What We're Looking For:
    Procurement area:

    • Identify, qualify, monitor, and improve suppliers’ performance while analyzing the market regularly.
    • Evaluate and select vendors, ensure PO fulfillment management, identify alliance opportunities in alignment with operations and site management needs Cost/HSE/Quality/Service levels/Regulations).
    • Identify and implement innovative solutions to mitigate problems and streamline processes.
    • Negotiate supply agreements and contracts. Ensure contracts are being followed.
    • Develop and use internal/external RFI (Request for Information) to understand Lubrizol needs and markets.
    • Use RFQ (request for quote)/ RFP (request for proposals) to identify best supply source.
    • Manage the "procure through payment" process for maximum efficiency (accurate PO’s, receiving, payment, GR/IR for assigned areas).
    • Identify and implement opportunities for cost savings (reductions, rebates, payment terms) process improvement, etc. and gain efficiency.
    • Be an ambassador on site by leading with the example and coach others on the standard purchasing process.
    • Make sure SCARs are used, managed, and monitored.
    • Lead capex project procurement related activities. 
    • Report costs evolution of equipment’s and services to support facilities cost structure management in the manufacturing space.
    • Network with all site departments seeking ways to best meet their purchasing needs.
    • Manage assigned RM, commodities and/or services.
    • Maintain and monitor Procurement KPIs. Monitor Internal Audit KPIs and take necessary actions to reach goals and potential gaps closures.
    • Capacity to report any possible deviation regarding Procurement Standards & Policies immediately.

    Supply Chain area:

    • Manage End to End Supply Chain process.
    • Manage Inventory and ERP and develop and Implement inventory control strategies to optimize stock levels while minimizing costs.
    • Work closely with Operations/Sales Team to forecast Demand, manage inventory levels and optimize supply chain process.
    • Collaborate with cross Functional Teams to identify and implement process improvements throughout the Supply Chain.
    • Ensure Compliance with HSEQ, Legislation, policies, and procedures.
    • Lead high performance Teams and work with Global and Local Customers.

    Skills That Make a Difference:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or any other technical field. 
    • 5 or more years' experience in procurement or procurement related functions.
    • Good knowledge of sourcing/purchasing methods is an asset.
    • Good communication and negotiation skills are required at all levels of the organization and with external stakeholders.
    • Strong Sense of ethics.
    • Ability to influence and convince with reliable information.
    • Demonstrated analytical and organizational skills. 
    • ERP systems experience and proficient with SAP and Ariba are remarkable plus.
