    Procurement Coordinator

    Job Description
    The job purpose is to co-ordinate the procurement activities within the PPECB in accordance with PFMA legislation and Treasury regulations. Also responsible for maintaining the supplier database, administering the electronic procurement system, and ensuring the timely delivery of goods and services. Monitor procurement activities and liaise with internal and external users on all procurement issues.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

    • To support the business by timely procuring goods and services from suppliers.
    • To ensure that vendor information is uploaded and maintained on the ERP system.
    • To ensure that procurement transactions comply with procurement policies & procedures.
    • To ensure strategic relationship with suppliers are maintained for continuous supply of goods
    • and services.
    • To deliver services that meet the expectations of clients.
    • To ensure value added initiatives enhance contribution to the bottom line in procurement
    • spend.
    • To ensure contracts are embedded on non-contracted spend to mitigate business risk.

    Requirements

    Qualifications

    • Diploma in Procurement / Commercial / Supply Chain

    Experience

    • 1 - 2 years experience working in a Procurement and administrative environment.
    • Supply chain management and/or procurement experience in a decentralized, multi-structured organization
    • Negotiate and agree contracts, monitoring the quality of service provided.
    • Build and maintain good relationships with new and existing suppliers.
    • Liaise between suppliers, manufacturers, and internal teams.
    • Procurement experience working in the public sector

    Knowledge 

    • Procurement policies and procedures
    • Relevant knowledge of ERP system 
    • Knowledge of the PFMA and all other relevant statues i.e., PPPFA, Supply Chain regulations
