Process Foreman at Fraser Alexander (Pty) Ltd.

PURPOSE

• This position exists to assist the Process Manager to ensure the efficient operation of the plant against set objectives

RESPONSIBILITIES

Safety

• Carry and fulfil responsibilities of a MHSA Section 2.9.2 legal appointment
• Lead team to complying with company SHE strategy
• Ensure team’s understanding of company safety policies, standards and procedures
• Identify areas of improvement in line with company strategy
• Identify SHE training requirements of reports
• Be part of Incident/ Accident investigation teams

Operations

• Achieve production and quality targets
• Manage performance of production shifts
• Form part of maintenance planning and execution. Supervision and sign off maintenance tasks
• Ensure plant operates within cost budget
• Maintain high standards of operational excellence

Identify process optimization needs

• People and Systems Management
• Drive teams’ compliance to company strategy
• Effectively delegate tasks
• Manage time and attendance, and other systems
• Identify and develop talent within areas of responsibility

ADMINISTRATION

• Completes safety, production, maintenance, personnel, and quality control records and reports

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS

• Metallurgical,  Chemical Engineering or other related Diploma/ Degree

EXPERIENCE

• 5 years experience in coal processing plants
• A minimum 3 years proven supervisory experience
