    Practitioner, HR Applications

        
    PURPOSE:  To ensure compliance of Human Resources (HR) Systems in accordance with business processes and governance.  Understand HR business requirements, processes and integration in order to effect continuous improvement.  Ensure integrity of applications and relevance as per defined HR processes.

    Minimum Requirements    
    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • N Dip: Human Resources Management (Essential/Minimum)
    • Certificate: SAP R/3 Consultant (Essential/Minimum)
    • B Tech (Relevant) (Recommended/Desirable)
    • Certificate First Line Management (Recommended/Desirable)

    EXPERIENCE: 

    • 5 years General HR and sound SAP systems knowledge    ( Essential/Minimum )  

    REQUIREMENTS: 

    • Psychometric Assessment (Essential/Minimum) (To be conducted by Exxaro)
    • Certificate of Fitness (Essential/Minimum) (To be conducted by Exxaro)

    Duties & Responsibilities    

    Application Management Support  

    • Assist business with technical specifications and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) testing meet business requirements pertaining to system modification
    • Ensure availability and optimal usage of applications in support of business outcomes
    • Continuously measure system availability to enable effective service
    • Implement corrective measures to eliminate Human Resources (HR) Systems data deviations / errors
    • Monitor and maintain e-learning system functionality and technical specifications and integration with other relevant HR Systems
    • Execute change control process
    • Ensure support processes and performance metrics are deployed to support creation of an enabling environment
    • Manage required HR system adjustments
    • Manage maintenance, updates and changes to relevant HR systems
    • Update system catalogues and SAP Maintenance
    • Liaise with the relevant 3rd parties regarding system configurations

    Best Practice and Knowledge Management   

    • Ensure users of system are competent and trained
    • Establish an HR system skills set and capability, centrally and embedded, to ensure sustainability

    Compliance, Governance and Assurance  

    • Ensure all data management information and reporting has integrity and is in strict compliance with good practise and governance
    • Business requirements must be configured timeously in systems
    • Execute change control procedures within governance framework

    Functional Excellence    

    • Standardise, simplify and speed-up functional processes, eliminate duplication/bureaucracy
    •  Identify and manage critical functional risks through appropriate mitigation plans/actions
    • Ensure execution and delivery of HR Application support services within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLA's)
    • Identify opportunities for process and/or system improvements
    • Participate in the development of system solutions toward optimising applicable processes

    Internal Business Processes  

    • Manage and follow through on support requests via logs for all HR System applications
    • Prioritise activities in line with business needs to ensure accurate and speedy resolution of queries/requests/needs
    • Monitor level of utilisation and performance for all HR systems and identify in the opportunities to optimise

    People Management  

    • Communication/engagement: Encourage open expression of ideas/opinions and foster dialogue. Seek out different opinions. Inform people of decisions, changes and other relevant information. Proactively address conflicts and initiate difficult conversations
    • Support business to identify issues that need to be addressed or escalated
    • Provide feedback to business on progress on queries

    • Maintain and ensure a healthy environment, safe operations practices, ensuring compliance with all applicable Safety Health and Environmental (SHE) policies procedures in line with set standards
