    Portfolio Sales Professional

    Mission of Function

    The Portfolio Sales Professional provides deep technical knowledge of Innomotics portfolio of electrical, automation and digitalization solutions to customers in target industries within the assigned region. Advises customers in best-practices and benchmark approaches to address their most pressing challenges. Positions Innomotics as a trusted technology partner to industrial clients. 

    Dimensions of Function

    • Ensure access to market through the cultivation of strong relationships with key stakeholders and influencers at end users, EPC's and OEM's
    • Supports planning and implementation of business development plans related to Innomotics portfolio within the assigned customer base
    • Develops strategies to position Innomotics as a partner of choice for Drives, Motors, Services and Solutions through in-depth understanding of Innomotics portfolio
    • Communicate the benefits of digital portfolio through understanding of key technology trends such as 4IR, IoT, Cloud Computing and AI
    • Analyses strategic trends and developments in the industry as a subject matter expert, from all perspectives, i.e. commercially (markets, trends, competitors, offerings, etc.) and technically (products, methodologies, processes, tools, etc.).
    • Completes studies, concepts and proposals (with the aid of Innomotics technical specialists), which support both sales organization and customers.
    • Support finance, product, engineering and service organisations by facilitating effective customer interactions
    • Reports to the head of Sales

    Areas of Responsibilities / Tasks

    • Establishes and develops key customer relationships at all levels in the customer organisation
    • Establishes and develops a professional network within the industry, spanning end users, consultants, OEM’s and EPC’s
    • Identifies customer requirements and works with technical team to develop value-adding solution concepts based on Innomotics technologies and engineering capabilities
    • Follows systematic sales process from lead identification to closure using Innomotics defined processes and tools
    • Ensures accurate forecasting and reporting on a regular basis
    • Continuously stays up to date with latest industry and Innomotics portfolio developments to offer customers best in class technology solutions
    • Collaborates with other Innomotics businesses and regions to maximize global business potential

    Required Competencies and Experience

    • Independent entrepreneurial mindset to develop and grow a personal business network
    • Performance oriented and motivated by achievement in a competitive environment 
    • Relevant tertiary qualification in engineering or information technology
    • Evidence of professional sales or account management training
    • Proven track record in selling complex products, services and solutions in process industries (minimum of 8 years)
    • Knowledge of drive, motor and automation applications and industry dynamics
    • Familiarity with key concepts driving the fourth industrial revolution
    • Cross-border experience in Africa is an advantage
    • Willingness to travel extensively
