    Portfolio Management and Valuation Analyst (Isibaya) (Re-advertisement)

    Purpose of the role: 

    • To maximise the value of assets under management by assisting in managing the portfolio of assets, monitoring and driving the performance of the investments.

    Requirements:
    Minimum Qualifications: 

    • B Commerce Degree (finance, engineering, legal) or any other relevant commerce, science and engineering degree 
    • 2-3 years relevant experience 
    • Knowledge of Financial Analysis and interpretation 
    • Experience in Financial Modelling 

    Preferred Qualifications : 2

    • Post Graduate Degree (finance, engineering, legal) or any other relevant commerce and engineering degree 

    Minimum Technical/Core Skill Requirement

    • Credit risk assessment 
    • Financial analysis and interpretation 
    • Advanced financial modelling skills 
    • Ability to undertake research and derive portfolio-specific insights 

    Duties:

    • Evaluating financial data, examining an investees financial statements, and creating financial models to predict the future performance of investee companies. 
    • Examining current macro-events and market developments and contextualize portfolio performance 
    • Translate financial data into detailed presentations and easy-to-understand financial reports 
    • Compile and consolidate portfolio reports and presentations to inform investment decisions. 
    • Development of financial models, including analysis of returns, sensitivities and scenario analysis etc 
    • Research and sectorial analysis to keep abreast with industry trends to identify growth opportunities and areas of concern. 
    • Assisting portfolio managers with their decision-making processes by providing strategic recommendations and supporting data analysis 
    • Assist investment associates in complex portfolio actions to maximise value of assets under management (such as restructuring, follow-on investments, debt conversion, rescheduling, amendments, and regular waivers). 
    • Assist with collecting information and maintain up-to-date documentation of all investment relationships
