Plant Supervisor at Network Recruitment

Job duties:

• Manage and coordinate the administration, production, quality, and maintenance of the plant and vehicles under his control.
• Manage the training and development of staff on the operation under his control.
• Manage the industrial relationship issues on the operations under his control.
• Manage allocated budget and ensure that all budget constraints; re-forecast requirements have adhered too.
• Manage and co-ordinate Health, Safety and Quality programs and issues on the operations under his control.
• Manage and control materials and stock levels at the plant.
• Ensure that team members carry out cleaning, lubrication, and inspection.
• Manage daily staff challenges and HR related matters.
• Ensure daily short interval controls are done in accordance with the Company Policy and Procedures.
• Manage and create a worker-friendly workplace that will maintain high morale, integrity and work ethics.
• Attend and conduct daily meetings.
• Ensure good communication with fellow employees and adhere to all set deadlines.
• Ensure all documentation is handled with care and submitted to Head Office / Regional Office timeously.

Requirements:

• Grade 12 Certificate
• At least 5 years’ experience in the Ready Mix Concrete Industry
• Prior experience as a Plant Supervisor in the Ready-mix Concrete Industry
• Prior experience in the construction industry essential
• Tertiary Qualification would be an advantage
