    Planner Engineering - Mokopane

     The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:

    • Effective planning of specific project equipment to achieve productivity as per project scope
    • Effective scheduling and monitoring of specific project equipment, manage backlog and labour limitations / constraints
    • Develop and maintain the site maintenance schedules, analyse data from the computerised management maintenance systems and identify trends and areas of improvement
    • Initiate procurement of spares and consumables to ensure availability
    • Liaise with the maintenance systems manager to on-board new machinery and provide site performance information
    • Create job cards, with job safety analysis, in advance to ensure timeous availability of materials, skills and resources
    • Prompt identification of recurring defects and inefficiencies, flag, analyse and assist with close-out thereof
    • Provide feedback and input to the site engineering team and procurement department at weekly planning meetings
    • Comply with legal regulations, M&RC and Client’s standards, policies, procedures and safety protocols
    • Effective self-management and alignment with M&RC’s values and leadership initiatives
    • Effective daily supervision of the engineering planning team
    • Effective team and self-management in alignment with M&RC’s values and leadership initiatives

    Minimum requirements

    Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:

    • Grade 12 or NQF 4 equivalent
    • Mechanical or Electrical Artisan Trade Certificate [S26] or National Diploma / Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
    • Supervisory Development Program [preferred] [site specific]
    • Proficient in computerized maintenance systems
    • Proficient in MS Office [Excel, Word, MS Projects]
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, including a customer service orientation
    • Excellent planning and organizing skills
    • Analytical, solution and deadline focused
    • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills

    Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:

    • Minimum 5 years of experience as an artisan or in an Assistant Engineering Planner role on a mine or in a factory
    • At least 5 years of experience as a Foreman (advantageous)
    • Experience in an underground / surface mining environment / in a vertical shaft section particularly in an earth moving equipment or trackless mining environment [site specific]
    • Knowledge and experience in remote condition monitoring of equipment [site specific]
    • Experience in developing reports and analysing data obtained from equipment will be advantageous [site specific]
