    Performance & Pricing Analyst

    Purpose of the Job

    • To oversee and action the creation and compilation of management and strategic reports that are aligned to strategic intent, through qualitative and quantitative analysis, and recommending insights that enable sound business decisions.

    What You'll have done before:
    Baseline:

    • NQF Level 7 (Degree in Accounting/ Finance/ Commerce or other related fields)
    • 8 years’ experience in a similar role within Finance
    • Knowledge of Affiliates Finance Legislations
    • Analysis, Data Visualisation and Reconciliations
    • BI Analysis

    Advantageous:

    • CA (SA)
    • CIMA
    • Good understanding of IFRS and OHADA
    • Basic knowledge of French
    • Ability to work cross-functionally 
    • PowerBI
    • Demonstrate strategic thinking skills

    What You'll be doing:
    INTEGRATED MARGIN SPECIALIST:

    • Strategize and co-ordinate Integrated Margin solutions across the Affiliates and Enterprise Value Chain for better decision making. Holds and maintains master view on Integrated Margins (calculation, methodology, solutions and frameworks)
    • Developing Solutions - Application of integrated margin knowledge to identify, analyse, prioritise and problem solve through improvement of business decision making to resolve and influence business issues, putting ideas and recommendations into action to achieve tangible business results
    • Metrics Development, Management and Deployment - Co-ordinate and strategize end-to-end business metrics through ensuring metrics are relevant, manageable and controllable, ensuring buy-in and co-ordination of metric reporting for maximized integrated margin for each affiliate
    • Financial & Management Reporting – Assist affiliates in correctness of reporting i.e. stream, new business ventures, product class.

    PERFORMANCE MONITORING:
    At an advanced level: 

    • Identify, collate and analyse a range of financial and non-financial data available within the organisation in order to develop a deep understanding of the drivers of performance and key emerging trends in the business units in order to deliver insightful management information on performance and planning in the business units, pre-empting challenges and assessing risks and opportunities
    • Provide analytical findings & recommendations relating to performance tracking measurement, and performance analysis and accountability reporting
    • Conduct Business Performance Review with Affiliates by monitoring, analyzing, and reporting the business performance against set targets for the IBD Division, identifying emerging trends, and recommend appropriate intervention plans where necessary.  
    • Prepare monthly management report and presentation content for Executive team, in which business unit performance is analysed, explained and graphically presented

    BUSINESS PLANNING, BUDGETING AND FORECASTING:

    • Assist and oversee all the relevant business planning & budget inputs from Affiliates for the development of the plan in line with divisional strategy.  
    • Prepare and support the presentation layer of Business planning process to stakeholders.
    • Assist and oversee monthly forecast for the IBD Division comprehending latest business environment and trends  

    IBD DASHBOARDS AND PERFORMANCE TRACKING:

    • Develop and maintain analytical dashboards for measuring and tracking business performance across the affiliate
    • Regular production and distribution of standardised Management Information supporting financial and affiliate performance, leveraging available information / data across systems to deliver business value add

    BUSINESS PROCESSES / FINANCE SYSTEMS:

    • Identify and implement business process improvement initiatives

    CAPABILITY DEVELOPMENT:

    • Develop capability through guidance, coaching training, and mentorship to affiliates finance teams 

    INTERNAL CUSTOMER INTERFACE:

    • Build and maintain sustainable relationships with key stakeholders and customers through providing support and engagement (Affiliates, Commercial, Corporate)
    • Engage with Mancom and other supporting stakeholders within the divisions

    • Lead various projects as part of the functions of your role

    • Ability to work successfully in an ever-changing environment and navigate ambiguity
    • Communication with non-English first language personnel (French territories)
    • Required to travel to affiliates (as and when required)
    • Dealing with affiliates and each country different challenges
