Operations Supervisor, Alrode at Astron Energy (Pty) Ltd.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day operational activities, including product receipts, transfers, loading rack operations, tank field operations, quality control, routine maintenance, OE/HES, stock control, and reconciliation to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
• Ensure compliance with SHEQ standards, Controls of Work (COW), and standard operating procedures (SOP) by all personnel under supervision.
• Perform frequent OE walkabouts (facility and work-related) and drive safety initiatives.
• Conduct personnel evaluations (PMP) for direct reports.
• Actively participate in MOC’s (KMS system) and ensure timely completion of actions.
• Oversee execution of routine maintenance activities, including prioritization of work daily to support reliability and cost management efforts.
• Allocate and steward all work orders on the CMMS (On Key) system.
• Steward the Loss Prevention System (LPS) in line with protocol, ensuring terminal personnel conduct adequate observations and complete action items promptly.
• Investigate OMS incidents, both internal and external.
• Steward the OMS management system processes, ensuring that expectations are met.
• Oversee non-dedicated Hauler and maintenance contractor as per business requirements.
• Assist the Terminal Manager with special projects, assignments, and reports as needed.
• Coordinate training and development of personnel under supervision in line with the Training Curriculum.

Minimum Criteria:

• Tertiary Qualification in Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Operations.
• Five or more years of experience (advantageous).
• Extensive experience in terminal operations and managing internal and external relationships.
• Completion of Leaders Programme essential.
• Strong leadership skills in operational excellence, people development, and customer focus.
• Strong drive for results and ability to lead change.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP system, FuelFACS, KMS, Isometrix, or similar systems.
