    Operations HR Administrator

    Job Description    

    • A new opportunity has become available for an Operations HR Administrator.
    • The Operations HR Administrator plays an important supportive and administrative HR role for the HR, Store’s and Field Management Operations teams.
    • The successful applicant will need to be thorough, with excellent attention to detail, and must possess well-developed organizational skills.
    • The position will require the ability to work under pressure to meet specific deadlines and to smoothly and efficiently deal with numerous issues.
    • Time management skills and the ability to cope with pressure will be essential.
    • The successful applicant for this position will also need to be reliable and persistent, and be able to work independently and with initiative, as he/she will be fully responsible for organizing and administering all aspects of various people issues and projects that arise.  
    • This candidate must deal with confidential information with utmost discretion and meet high standards of integrity
    • Applicants will also need to be flexible and willing to handle a variety of tasks to assist their HR and Operations team members.

    Qualifications    

    • Grade 12 Certificate.
    • Preferably an administrative qualification (2 years) alternatively a qualification in HR.

    Knowledge, Skills and Experience    

    • 2 years’ experience performing an administrative or supportive role within a department is essential. (It will be advantageous if this experience was gained within Human Resources)
    • Practical exposure to the relevant legislation within the HR Field advantageous
    • Fluent in English (Written and Verbal).
    • Xhosa and Zulu/or any other African language verbal ability (advantageous)
    • Excellent Communication skills.
    • Excellent Administration Skills
    • A strong logical thinking and analytical ability.
    • Has a high energy level and is performance-driven.
    • Proficiency in the latest Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint & Outlook) and Google Suite are an important requirement.
    • Excellent planning, organizing and time management skills.
    • Ability to remain flexible, function under pressure and maintain a positive attitude and work performance in a variety of circumstances.
    • Ability to multi-task and to deal with complexities, use initiative to solve problems.
    • Ability to work independently, as well as be a team player.
    • Must be service orientated.

    Key Responsibilities    

    • Support and advise store staff as first HR contact in line with existing company procedures.
    • Drive culture values within the organization.
    • Provide administration support on culture and GREAT service surveys/feedback.
    • Manage to ensure that regional office housekeeping standards are maintained by cleaning staff.
    • Administer the process for recruitment by supporting with store vacancies & other store staff movement actions within the time frames.
    • Coordinate onboarding packs and submit to Human Resource Department for processing in line with existing company procedures.
    • Coordinate & follow up on training & succession interventions in line with the business requirements.
    • Coordinate the induction process in line with the business requirements.
    • Support & follow up on outstanding documentation for IR actions or IOD’s within time frames.
    • Carry out general administrative tasks i.e., answering telephones, post, filing, etc.
    • Maintain HR OPS databases to ensure all information is relevant & up to date.
