Onsite Coordinator –REF: JW391EX/2024 at Johannesburg Water

Key Responsibilities:

• Schedule monthly work plans with contractors for the supply and maintenance of water tankers, chemical toilets, and pit latrines.
• Dispatch daily work orders to subordinates based on monthly work plans, deviations, and special functions.
• Conduct ad-hoc audits to ensure adherence to work plans and monitor the quality of work performed.
• Implement a planned maintenance program for sampling and cleaning water tankers monthly.
• Schedule and attend meetings with councillors and communities regarding interventions, operations, policies, and educational matters.
• Resolve any queries directly with contractors related to service delivery.
• Ensure timely responses to customer and community complaints as per the customer charter.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including councillors and NGOs, on a daily basis.
• Monitor contractor performance and reconcile monthly invoices, resolving any disparities.
• Approve and submit invoices daily to the regional Admin Officer for processing.
• Manage and supervise staff, including conducting fortnightly meetings with subordinates.
• Ensure effective communication through appropriate channels regularly.
• Identify training needs and conduct on-the-job training as required.
• Weekly inspections of contractor drivers' PDPs (Professional Driving Permits) and vehicle conditions.
• Ensure contractors and On-Site Inspectors adhere to statutory requirements by conducting on-site inspections.
• Conduct weekly on-site safety inspections and awareness sessions.
• Investigate and report injury on duty cases following the set procedures.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

• Grade 12 or N3 (NQF 4).
• 4 years’ experience in Water or Sanitation network of which 1 year must be at Supervisory level.
• Experience in Microsoft Office packages
• Code EB driver’s License
