    Oncology Nursing Field Manager

    Job Summary: The Healthcare Coach for the Oncology Programme provides compassionate and empathetic guidance to help patients manage the impact of their condition and to use their prescribed treatment effectively. The Healthcare Coach is a qualified professional who complements the education and care provided by the patient’s own healthcare team and does not provide medical advice. The role involves regular patient contact, in person and by telephone, and is responsible for building rapport and helping to address their patients’ personal challenges and needs by effectively applying motivational Interviewing skills and other behaviour change techniques outlined through the program support materials. Besides, the Healthcare Coach may at a given time be responsible for processing co-payment and cash facilitation requests of patients enrolled in Financial Programs.

    PURPOSE:

    • Primary contact for field nurse educators in region. Additional responsibilities include supporting customer and project objectives through team building, coaching, training, motivating and managing. Ensures region’s budgets are controlled and standards and performance meet or exceed objectives.   

    EDUCATION:

    • Nursing background
    • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferrable
    • Equivalent in healthcare education or life sciences, preferred
    • Additional training and experience in computer desktop software applications including MS Office (word, excel, access, PowerPoint)

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Minimum five years’ experience in the following areas: Pharmaceutical Industry, Healthcare i.e. Managed Care Organizations with progressive experience in disease management.
    • Advanced computer skills knowledge and data base knowledge

    MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Manage, motivate, coach, and support the field team at all times.
    • Maintain availability as IQVIA contact on all field issues and react quickly to resolve any disputes
    • Maintain communication with appropriate customer personnel as needed
    • Attend IQVIA/Customer meetings as required
    • Attend all national/ regional meetings as required
    • Coordinates with the National Director to analyze ongoing needs for new and current CE’s
    •  Manage region’s field activities for the project.
    • Weekly calls with nurses to check in on project status and open issues
    • Discuss queries nurses have regarding program execution according to the agreed plan (during weekly calls and also over phone)
    • Reviewing program status deliverables prepared by nurses and facilitating their internal walk-throughs prior to client presentation
    • Facilitating client calls to discuss project status
    •  Managing client compliance requests e.g. source data verification, adverse events reconciliation
    •  Ensuring necessary paperwork/contracts are in place and signed
    •  Verifying project deliverables owned by care coordinators (e.g. AE reports, reconciliation forms, etc) are submitted on time
    •  Confirming data accuracy on Patient engagement app
    •  Consolidating program deliverables across countries and submitting to client
    •  Responded to ad-hoc requests for client information

     PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Partner with Human Resources
    • Provide input regarding Human Resources issues including but not limited to:
    • Interviewing and offering positions
    • Counseling and improvement plans
    • Annual competency and performance reviews
    • Assist TA team with recruitment within project standards and profiles
    • Responds appropriately and compliantly during all interactions with customers and team members
    • Stays current in clinical developments as appropriate to enhance care coach coaching
    • Reads, understands, and adheres to all customer and IQVIA policies and procedures
    • Maintains a high level of professional standards in all interactions with patients and customer contacts
    • Monitor and prepare reports in accordance with Project Requirement
    • Assure that documentation of field team is accurate and timely
    • Works with new and existing Care coaches/Nurses in their territory quarterly and as needed to ensure team and territory goals are met
    • Conduct quarterly field visits with individual team members and document feedback of visit via Field Contact Report
    • Analyze team reports to provide Project Leader with a concise summary of region’s activity and metrics

    ADDITIONAL EXPECTATIONS:

    • Provide administrative management and support
    • Assist in the initial definition and training of field requirements and provide field training support as needed
    • Review/approve billable time and requested time off
    • Review/approve expenses
    • Maintain operating budgets
    • Completes all reports and written assignments in a timely, accurate, and thorough manner per set timelines and customer expectations
    • Demonstrates sound judgment regarding utilization of time and financial resources, such as travel and supply expenses
    • Provides feedback regarding assessment of individual CNE’s training needs and deficits
    • Technical knowledge of spreadsheet, word processing, and presentation applications
