Officer: Planning - Malalane at RCL Foods

• We at RCL FOODS are in search for a Officer: Planning to join our Sugar Division. The role will be based in Malalane and report to the Packing and Projects Engineer. RCL FOODS is looking for an incumbent to coordinate administration and planning of maintenance activities (includes assistance with shutdown planning & co-ordination).

Minimum Requirements    

• N2 Qualification.
• Trade-tested Artisan with proof of the successful completion of Institutionalised training.
• Knowledge of Project Planning and Scheduling including Project Management Software.
• Knowledge of Maintenance Stock Management.
• SAP experience will be essential for the person performing this role.
• Must be computer literate (MS Office, with special focus on excel).
• Knowledge of Preventative Maintenance Principles and Systems
• Qualifications in Business Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain & Logistics, Accounting, or Engineering will be an added advantage.
• Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
• To be considered for appointment, the candidate must be a South African citizen
• Reporting skills essential.
• Proven ability to manage, coordinate and control Off crop planning for the entire site would be an added advantage.

Duties & Responsibilities    

• Administration and planning of maintenance activities (includes assistance with shutdown planning & co-ordination)
• SAP Implementation, optimisation and management
• Analysis/Interpretation of maintenance history and feedback report preparation (should include an analysis of all KPI’s and suggested actions)
• Drawing, documentation and modification control
• Assisting in the continuous improvement, optimisation (schedules reviews) and implementation of preventive maintenance tactics (usage-based, time-based etc.) via processes including RCM and other failure analysis methods
• Management of the engineering planning office and the equipment, documents and tools within it.
• Meetings (daily & monthly) with the plant’s key personnel (engineering & production) to plan work, transfer information, make decisions and agree on action plans
• To ensure effective administrative systems and procedures are being maintained and improved
• Assisting the further implementation, optimisation and management of the Asset Management Improvement Program (AMIP)
• Update BOMS for Packaging.
• Carry out planned job observations and update job plans.
• Continues review of maintenance schedules.
• Perform standby duties.
• Consolidated site wide reporting.
